Scope of this policy

  • This policy applies to visitors, registered users, dealer applicants, approved dealers, and people who contact us through the platform.
  • It covers public pages, dealer and model pages, saved favourites, listings, blog content, charging-station pages, login flows, and dealer dashboard tools.
  • It does not replace the separate privacy notices of dealers, manufacturers, payment providers, social platforms, or map providers you may visit through external links.

Personal data you provide directly

  • When you create an account, Firebase Authentication processes your sign-in credentials and we receive your email address, account identifier, role, and related profile metadata.
  • When you apply as a dealer or edit a dealership profile, we may collect company name, contact person, phone number, email address, city, website, showroom address, brands, languages, notes, and uploaded images.
  • When you submit an enquiry or contact request, we collect the name, email address, phone number if provided, message content, and the listing or dealer reference connected to that request.

Data generated through your use of the platform

  • We store favourites for signed-out visitors in local browser storage and, for signed-in users, we may sync favourite item identifiers to the user's Firestore favourites collection.
  • We collect operational usage information such as page views, navigation patterns, filter interactions, device and browser data, approximate region, referrer information, and session timestamps through analytics and security tooling.
  • Dealer dashboard activity can generate records such as model links, listing updates, enquiry status changes, uploaded gallery images, and created or updated timestamps.

How we use personal data

  • To create and manage accounts, assign platform roles, review dealer applications, and secure access to dashboard features.
  • To publish, maintain, and improve dealer profiles, EV model pages, vehicle listings, blog content, favourites, and charging-station resources.
  • To answer support requests, deliver enquiries to the relevant dealer, detect misuse, enforce platform rules, analyse product performance, and comply with legal obligations.

Storage, infrastructure, and service providers

  • Platform data may be processed through services such as Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Firebase Analytics, hosting infrastructure, and Google Maps integrations used on location-based pages.
  • Some providers may process data outside your country. When that happens, processing depends on the safeguards and contractual protections offered by those providers.
  • Dealers remain responsible for the personal data they receive directly from shoppers after an enquiry, booking request, or off-platform conversation.

When data is shared or made public

  • Approved dealer profiles, public model pages, public listings, blog posts, and related images may be visible to visitors, search engines, and other users of the site.
  • Dealer contact information and business information may be displayed publicly when a profile is approved and activated on Makina Elektrike.
  • We may share limited data with trusted processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, law enforcement, regulators, or advisors when reasonably necessary for security, compliance, or legal claims.

Retention

  • Account and dealer records are retained while the account or dealership remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards for audit, fraud prevention, backup, and legal compliance purposes.
  • Support messages, enquiries, moderation notes, and operational records may be retained as long as needed to manage customer service, dealer relationships, disputes, or statutory obligations.
  • Local browser storage such as favourites or offline queue records remains on your device until you remove it, clear browser data, or the application overwrites that information.

Your rights and choices

  • Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to the processing of personal data we hold about you.
  • You can update some account or dealer profile details directly in the platform, control cookies or local storage through your browser, and ask us to review or remove data where appropriate.
