Turn every specification into a question

Range helps you plan journeys; battery capacity describes stored energy; AC relates to routine charging; DC to faster stops; dimensions and seats show whether the car fits your life. No single number defines the best model.

Begin with the exact variant

The same commercial name can cover different batteries, motors, drivetrains, tyres and equipment. Check the complete variant, model year and market before comparing values.

If a listing is linked to the model, verify that the specific vehicle matches that canonical variant. Vehicle documents and the manufacturer’s information take priority when details conflict.

Range, battery and consumption

  • WLTP (km) — Standardised test result — Compare variants on a common basis — Not a real-world guarantee
  • Battery (kWh) — Energy capacity under the source definition — Relate capacity to consumption — Gross and usable capacity differ
  • Consumption — Energy required per distance — Compare efficiency and estimate cost — Changes in real conditions

AC and DC charging

  • AC: The car’s onboard charger converts alternating current. The lowest limit among car, cable and point governs power.
  • DC: The station supplies direct current for faster charging. Peak power is not maintained throughout the session.
  • Charging time: Depends on energy needed, charging curve, temperature, battery state and available power.

Power, drivetrain and dimensions

Motor power affects performance, but everyday use also requires attention to efficiency, tyres, mass and cost. Rear-, front- or all-wheel drive can change behaviour, packaging and consumption.

Do not stop at an SUV or hatchback label. Check length, width, height, wheelbase, seats and boot information where available. Measure your parking space or garage and allow for opening the doors.

A useful reading order

  • Identity: Brand, model and exact variant.
  • Practical fit: Seats, body and dimensions.
  • Energy: WLTP, battery and consumption.
  • Charging: AC, DC, connector and limits.
  • Driving: Power and drivetrain.
  • Market: Listings and dealers; reconfirm stock.

Put the method into practice

Open one model, follow this order and then add a relevant alternative for comparison.

Blog FAQ

What is WLTP range?

Range measured through a standardised procedure. It supports comparison but real conditions can change it.

Is battery capacity the same as range?

No. Capacity is stored energy; range also depends on consumption and conditions.

What is the difference between AC and DC?

With AC the vehicle converts power onboard; a DC station supplies the battery more directly for faster charging.

Does a dealer link mean the model is in stock?

Not necessarily. Look for an active listing and confirm the specific vehicle.
