What is the difference between a model and a listing?
A model holds reference specifications; a listing is the concrete vehicle offered with price, year, mileage, condition and media.
From linking the canonical model to creating a complete listing, adding media, passing moderation, understanding statuses and maintaining real inventory.
The canonical model holds reference specifications. A listing represents the business’s concrete vehicle: price, year, mileage, condition, media and availability. Correct linking prevents wrong specifications and moves the buyer from research to an offer.
Find the make, model and variant in the catalogue before creating the offer. Compare battery, motor, drivetrain, year and market. Do not select a variant merely because its name looks similar.
If it is missing, follow the current model-association or submission process and provide primary manufacturer sources. Do not copy data from another listing or another market configuration.
Update the price when the offer changes and deactivate or change status when the vehicle is reserved or sold. A stale listing damages trust and generates unnecessary enquiries.
Periodically review the model link, photos, description and contact. For batches of imported vehicles, use a second check to avoid copying mileage, VIN or price between vehicles.
Open inventory, link the right model and complete the concrete vehicle before review.
